Poria cocos is the dried sclerotia of Poria cocos (Schw.) Wolf of the family Poriaaceae, parasitic on the rhizomes of Pinaceae or Pinus massoniana, buried 20-30 cm under the soil to multiply. The inner part of Poria core is Poria cocos, the outer part is Poria bark, and the sclerotia with pine roots is Poria God. Poria is a fungus of the Poriaaceae family, and the skin of Poria is the dried epidermis peeled off during processing of the sclerotia of Poria.
